Peperuka is a Kenyan company, proudly owned and independently operated by Kenyans. Named after the Swahili word that means ‘to soar’, we built our company to rise above the average and fill your lives with more than just beautiful things. We aspire to warm the body, mind and spirit by blending Afro-inspired products with socially and environmentally sound business practices.
We are all about the good things in life. We integrate what we believe into everything we do. Our eco-friendly lifestyle brand of products consists of fresh, handmade body products and limited edition apparel and accessories. With our creations, we encourage healthy, conscious living by making products from natural ingredients and promoting sustainability to create a better cleaner world. We work in partnership with suppliers and manufacturers that not only ensure consistent high quality production but also support and empower their communities, have ethical working conditions and always practise fair trade. This way, our suppliers are as happy as our customers and this makes us happy.
All Peperuka products are crafted with passion, love and a slight obsession to detail. Our body products are gentle, safe and effective. We use age-old formula’s, natural ingredients and use a panel of human volunteers for testing, so no rabbits or mice are harmed in the process. Our limited edition garments are made from natural or recycled fabrics and the design aesthetic is rooted in African history and tradition while remaining unique, contemporary and expressive. Our accessories are inspired by curiosity -we love to experiment, humor – we love to laugh, and simplicity – no frills, lots of thrills.
Peperuka isn’t just about our products; It’s a way of life. We believe in being free, hope, love and peace. For every purchase, a percentage goes to Peperuka Foundation – a vocational training centre that gives young girls unable to go to high school a second chance. So join us as we inspire. shift. renew. soar.
We are based in Nairobi and currently stocked at KikoRomeo in Yaya Centre, Marula Studios in Karen and Urban African Collective at The Hub, Karen.
